Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best known for her roles in TV series The Shield and True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she made her debut as an actor in 2003. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. However, it was her character as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's rights) within the biography All the Way film that brought her fame as an actor. Hind was also recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel show, the drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 will be renewed for another season. Hind has completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to release in the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj died in March 2017 after a lengthy stint as a scientist for the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother is a domestic worker. Aditya is her elder brother, and is an engineer for merchant ships. Her younger brother Aditya Rai was the producer of Dil Ka Rishta and wrote the script with Bachchan. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school where Bachchan attended after her family moved to Mumbai. Jai Hind College was her final intermediate school before joining D.G. Ruparel College in Matunga where she received a 90% in the H.S.C. exams. She spent the first five years in adolescence learning about classical music and dance. Her most loved course was Zoology. Bachchan was an undergraduate student in architecture in 1994, when she was chosen Miss World. This title was a boost to her career in the world of modeling. Her career was booming in PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine, as well as the opportunity to be a spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris in 2003. Her acting career began in a positive direction by being praised for her roles in Iruvar (1997) as well as Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Her New Bollywood was boosted by the fact that both films are a departure from standard Bollywood model. It was at this point that Bachchan brought her star power and attractiveness to her first major film in English. She returned to Bollywood for the smash Dhoom: 2 (2006) prior to releasing Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. She got married Abhishek Bachchan, co-star who is the child of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage brought two of India's most powerful people together.
