Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best known for her roles in TV series The Shield and True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she made her debut as an actor in 2003. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. However, it was her character as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's rights) within the biography All the Way film that brought her fame as an actor. Hind was also recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel show, the drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 will be renewed for another season. Hind has completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to release in the middle of 2019.
