Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Her first feature film appearance was a tiny role in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donavan played the role in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody became a model after her being approached by a aspiring photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody strictly avoided the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the director of casting. Doody was named one of the top twelve promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. At just 18 as she played the film, Doody was and is one of the smallest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead character in Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud named The Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody returned to acting and acted in a tiny role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. Her roles include an appearance in a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also appear in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November of 2018, she won the Almeria award for best film and received a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
